Hartchain AI Lab

Two products. Built for teams that ship.

Deputy is a workspace-aware AI assistant for Windows and macOS. Sentinel is a lightweight endpoint sensor for telemetry and threat detection with optional AI assist for activity context. Support and training help your team deploy, adopt, and run both products in production.

Company

About us

Hartchain AI Lab builds practical AI software for developers and security teams.

Hartchain AI Lab was founded in 2024 by Peter Maina, founder and managing director, to help businesses and teams adopt AI with privacy controls, predictable costs, and software that runs on their terms, not only in the cloud.

Products are designed for private deployment: your keys, your workspace, your logs. Architecture and governance are built for teams that need accurate, source-backed answers without sending sensitive data to generic cloud chatbots.

  • Deputy ships for Windows and macOS; Sentinel is Windows endpoint software
  • Per-seat and per-endpoint licensing with volume and enterprise terms
  • Support and training for rollout, configuration, and day-to-day operations
  • Deployment in cloud, private VPC, or on-premises when data is sensitive

Which product fits?

Deputy
Teams who need an AI assistant that works inside a project folder: reading, searching, and editing files with explicit control over what leaves the machine.
Sentinel
IT and security teams who need endpoint visibility and local detections without a full enterprise EDR contract, with optional AI assist for activity triage when you enable hybrid mode.
Both
Engineering orgs that build software and need both secure development workflows and endpoint monitoring on the same machines.

Support & training

Help beyond the installer

Licenses get you the software. Support and training get your team using it confidently: deployment troubleshooting, policy setup, user onboarding, and optional retainers for production fleets.

Support

Production support

Priority email support for Deputy and Sentinel: install issues, licensing, configuration, updates, and integration questions. Available per incident or on a monthly retainer for teams running at scale.

Includes
Deployment troubleshooting, policy review, release guidance, and escalation to engineering when needed.
Best for
IT and security teams rolling out pilots or managing Deputy and Sentinel across a fleet.

Training

Hands-on training

Live sessions tailored to your environment: admin setup, user workflows, Sentinel triage, and privacy controls. Delivered remotely or on-site for teams that want a structured rollout.

Includes
Admin onboarding, end-user workshops, security briefings, and written runbooks aligned to your policies.
Best for
Organizations adopting Deputy or Sentinel for the first time, or expanding from pilot to wider deployment.

Approach

How we work

Products ship on a clear install-and-license path: scoped pilots, deployment, handoff, and optional support or training when you need it.

  1. Scope

Trial size, deployment target, and license count for Deputy or Sentinel.

  2. Pilot

Run Deputy or Sentinel on a small fleet to validate fit, typically 4-8 weeks.

  3. Deploy

Roll out licenses, packaged installs, and policy templates across your environment.

  4. Handoff

Documentation, admin guides, and optional support or training packages so your team can operate independently or with Hartchain on retainer.
